Central Park

Central Park, Trevethin Pastor Dai is a member of a local group who are working hard to see the derelict playground on Central Drive being turned back into a playground and community garden. The group is a partnership between Torfaen council, Communities First, Cold Barn Farm, the Trevethin Residents Organisation and Hill City Church, and we're delighted to be involved!

We are currently waiting to hear whether or not a massive funding application that we have submitted has been successful. We are praying that it is, because this funding will pave the way for significant transformation in this part of the estate.

In the meantime, we're still open to suggestions and feedback from local people, so feel free to get in touch if you'd like to be involved, see the plans again or obtain more information.

Community Consultation/Fun-Day May 2008
We held a community consultation/fun-day on Saturday 10th May 2008 on the site of the playground, which saw around 200 residents come and join us for a sunny, fun-filled afternoon of face-painting, football skills, DJ-ing, dancing, and even a hog-roast! It was a huge success and the response to our proposed plans was overwhelmingly positive.
