On Sunday 3rd of January 2010, Hill City Pastors Dai and James travelled to Burkina Faso for the first time, to visit the Compassion project with whom Hill City are partnering. The trip was literally a flying one - just six days in total (including travel) but it was immensely fruitful. Dai says:
"The aim of the visit was to meet in person the leaders of the church and the local Compassion project, and to meet the children who are being sponsored through Hill City. Above all we simply want to serve them and be a blessing to them, so we brought gifts for the children, encouraged the saints by teaching the Bible and generally got stuck in wherever we could! We also looked for practical and realistic ways that we can serve them further and assessed the scope for running mission trips in the future. Frankly - we're buzzin' about this trip!"
Please read the blog which gives details of the trip and demonstrates the passion and enthusiasm which God inspired on both sides of the globe during this first meeting.
