Beaten and battered, Jesus is dragged before Pontius Pilate, who is reluctant to sentence Him to death. In a last ditch attempt to release Jesus, Pilate offers to release to them one prisoner. The blood-thirsty crowd choose the violent revolutionary, Barabbas, urging Pilate to crucify Jesus. The innocent Son of God is condemned to death. The guilty sinner walks free.
