Christmas is a wonderful time of celebration because the beautiful message about the birth of Jesus Christ – the Son of God and Saviour of the world – is too good to keep quiet about. Therefore at Hill City we are going to sing and proclaim this good news of great joy far and wide this Christmas time.

For the last year or so we have been supporting a church planting initiative in Trelewis in the Taff Bargoed Valley.
Below is a brief update by team leader, Simon Matheson:
Over the past few months we’ve been slowly beginning to make a few contacts of people in the village of Trelewis, and a few have been interested in maybe joining us and finding out more. Our core group of 5 adults have been meeting fairly regularly, but not too consistently on time/place, and we felt that with the interest from others that we needed a more consistent meeting. So we’ve begun a meeting on Saturday evenings – a really informal get together, with a short Bible message, and then some food. Our desire is to be a church that plants churches that plant churches. This time last year we sent 2 couples to the Rhondda valleys to plant a new church and this year we have several projects in the pipeline. One of the areas that we will be planting is the Taff Bargoed Valley. Simon Matheson, who is heading up the church plant, explains more:
The Taff Bargoed Valley must be one of the smallest of the Welsh valleys.
