How sponsorship improves the lives of children living in poverty?
By sponsoring a child (£21.00 per month), Compassion ensures that each child receives the following:
1. Bible teaching
2. Education
3. Hygiene tuition
4. Opportunities for community service
5. Games and social clubs
We are delighted that Hill City Church has now partnered with Compassion, by engaging with Sim Paspanga Church in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso - one of the 3 poorest countries in the world.
With our help, the Compassion Project at Paspanga will ensure that vulnerable children in their community will receive food and nutritional advice, medical and dental checks, clothing, education and social and emotional care. Most importantly, the children will also have the opportunity to hear and respond to the gospel.
Initially, Hill City will sponsor 20 children from Sim Paspanga Church and our target is to find sponsors for every one of these children through Hill City Church, as soon as possible.
The Compassion Project at Sim Paspanga Church provides stability, security and continuity to the most vulnerable children in the community - our children.
The local church leaders are trusted individuals in the community and through the church, they will share the gospel of Jesus with the children and their families.
We truly believe that our own church will be transformed as we draw close to the children and families in one of the world's poorest countries and see God's power at work in new ways.
Please pray for this exciting Gospel partnership!
