For the last year or so we have been supporting a church planting initiative in Trelewis in the Taff Bargoed Valley.
Below is a brief update by team leader, Simon Matheson:
Over the past few months we’ve been slowly beginning to make a few contacts of people in the village of Trelewis, and a few have been interested in maybe joining us and finding out more. Our core group of 5 adults have been meeting fairly regularly, but not too consistently on time/place, and we felt that with the interest from others that we needed a more consistent meeting. So we’ve begun a meeting on Saturday evenings – a really informal get together, with a short Bible message, and then some food. They’ve gone well so far, but we really pray that the meeting would grow, and even provide a great springboard for the church to take root in the village.
